Imagine putting a meal worm fry into your mouth at dinner time. I know what you might be thinking, “Ew! Yuck! That's so gross!” but did you know that 98% of people actually end up liking insects. I think everyone should eat and cook with bugs. There are many reasons why you should eat bugs. You can make many different meals that are fun and tasty.

Yum, yum, tasty treats, I bet you love lollies, chocolate and cookies but probably not with bugs in them. Do you know that there are such things as scorpion lollipops, grasshopper cake, ginger cricket cookies and wax worm tacos. You might be thinking that you will never eat a bug. But if you have had canned food you have probably eaten a maggot. There is maggots in pizza sauce and in drained mushrooms. There are lots of tasty treats you can make so get stuck in and enjoy some creative cooking with bugs.

Is your family picky and doesn't like what you make? Well, why not bring the taste back into your meal and have some creative cooking ideas with bugs. Like carrot buffalo worm soup, deep fried tarantulas and a worm salted margarita drink to go with your delicious insects. Did you know that there are over 1,900 species of bugs you can eat and put into your meals. They are not just delicious but there are fun ways to cook with them so they are healthy for you.

Do you want to be healthy but don’t know what to eat? Well did you know that bugs are high in protein and low in fat. They can also reduce obesity. Reports shows that bugs have the same amount of (if not more) nutrients as commonly consumed meat. Crickets, beetles and grasshoppers are one of the many different bugs that are good for you.

In conclusion I think that you should cook and eat with bugs. There are many awesome recipe ideas that taste amazing and you don’t have to worry about being unhealthy. I strongly think that you should cook or try an insect today.
